POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will be responsible for sourcing and connecting with potential candidates for all open positions at Dave Jones, Inc. and Steg Plumbing that embody the DJI Culture, core values, and attributes of being an Ideal Team Player. The Talent Specialist will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with community groups and organizations. This position will also be responsible for working with the Marketing Manager to establish and implement recruitment marketing strategies.

Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Human Resources Director to create a people sourcing strategic plan for DJI and Steg Plumbing that aligns with the company culture and core values.
  • Responsible for monitoring recruitment metrics and implementing changes to meet goals. Continually looking for improvements in efforts.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define the requirements of vacant positions and anticipate and understand future staffing needs.
  • Source Ideal Team Players for open positions at all levels for DJI and Steg Plumbing. This includes, but is not limited to, determining appropriate resources to increase candidate pipeline, resume and candidate searching on social media and online job boards, reaching out and sourcing internal referrals, connecting with area trade associations and community groups, and finding creative options to locate potential candidates.
  • Continuously research and recommend sourcing techniques and approach to attract talent as recruitment and talent needs evolve.
  • Assist with the sourcing of candidates for contracted projects that have workforce inclusion requirements, such as geographical location, income, race, or gender. Work with segment to determine specific contract needs, source candidates, and complete the needed paperwork.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to establish a recruitment marketing plan and assist in developing marketing materials to help meet recruiting needs of both companies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and industry specific professionals to source candidates and establish a consistent pipeline of potential candidates.
  • Participate in job fairs or other hiring events to increase exposure and candidate pipeline.
  • Assist the Employment Specialist (DJI) and HR Specialist (Steg) with screening and interviewing of candidates as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Human Resources, Marketing or Business-related focus; or a minimum of three years of hands-on competitive people sourcing/recruitment experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensing/Registration/Certifications:

  • Current valid driver’s license
