Best Temperature for Sleep

What’s the best bedroom temperature for sound sleep?
According to a study by sleep.com, the optimal bedroom temperature to sleep in is between 60 and 67 degrees Fahrenheit. When the body prepares for sleep, body temperature drops, and the cool ambient air helps to facilitate that. According to a poll around our offices, 65 is the preferred temperature setting for sound zzzzzz’s.
Think you’ll break the bank turning the temperature down that much in the summer? You’d be surprised at how energy efficient a new air conditioner and furnace can be! If your furnace and a/c are 10+ years old, they are reaching the end of their life cycle. Not able to update your furnace and a/c this year? Consider a tune-up to make the unit you already have is running optimally.
Don’t feel like getting out of bed to turn the temperature down? Invest in a wi-fi thermostat and adjust the temperature from the comfort of your bed – or while you’re on vacation and realize you didn’t change the temperature settings before you left.
